Two female, two year old, red tabby, F2 (one nude and one
with clothes) sphynx need a loving home. Re-homing due to redundancy!
Nothing to do with the cats who are superb companions, wonderful pets and have
lovely temperaments. Must be re-homed together within an hour's drive of
London (the girls are currently located in Feltham and don't like long car
journeys). Please have experience of the breed or of other indoor,
pedigree breeds. Please call 07786 305 515.

September 2007
Great News!!
The next Rex Cat Association show will have an added bonus for our cats.
They will be allowed to enter two shows on the same day, as the Singapura
Cat Club have also applied to put on Sphynx Assessment classes for us.
The possibility of two bites of the cherry is an exciting prospect I'm sure
you will agree. The chance to be awarded two merits on one day will
hopefully encourage more Sphynx exhibitors to bring out their cats and help
speed up the breed's progress to Championship status.
The show will be held on 12th April 2008 at The Ken Marriott Centre, Rugby.
Schedules will be available in the new year from Lynda Ashmore (with an SAE)
7 Ledstone Road
Sheffield S8 ONS 0114 2586866
or can be downloaded from the club's website, and also the
Rex Cat
Association's website.

The Sphynx Cat Association would like to remind all members
that it is now unacceptable to outcross to Devon Rex cats, as stated in the

remain permanently on the Reference Register, and will never be able to
progress. The Sphynx Cat Association strongly opposes any such matings.

Gaietyboy ofChichi) and Bubbles (Infurno Bubbles de Vere), became the first two
Sphynx to earn the first of four required merits. Congratulations to their
owners, Sue Ahern, and Jackie and Trevor Green, and their breeders, Jurgen Grunn
and Jeanette Hanoman.

carefully to ensure that it is eligible to be shown. If in any doubt, the Sphynx

Rex Cat Association Show 2006
Another very successful day at the Rex Cat Association Rex
Breed show. Thanks to the wonderful efforts of Sandra Gray, ably assisted by
Ruth Wehren, Sue Ahern, and Pam Williams, the Club managed to raise over
£115.00. Several new members joined up, and once again, there was a huge
interest in the Sphynx.
Once again, young Philip Williams gave up his Saturday to
fetch and carry for the ladies. Thank you all, you have done us proud again!
Shorthair Cat Show January 2006
This was our first publicity and fund raising event,
organized by Ruth Wehren. Although Ruth could not be with us on the day, her
organizational skills were second to none, resulting in four Sphynx on
Exhibition, and our very own fund raising stall.
Grateful thanks go to Emma Rhodes, Anne Hatliff, Sue Ahern
and Pam Williams, for bringing their Sphynx cats for everyone to admire. Thanks
also to Jackie Green for traveling such a long way to support us, and also to
Philip Williams, without whose help the Club stall could not have been run. This
young man gave up his Saturday to fetch and carry for the Club, and was a
wonderful help.
Thanks to Philip's efforts on the Club stall, we raised
£43.11, and gained three new members!
All in all, a very successful day, and we look forward to
repeating our success very soon.
